Scoreline Words You Will See

Scorelines carry their own language, and half the confusion around football markets comes from words rather than numbers. Below are the terms we get asked about on the board: exact score, double result, goal lines, both teams to score and what happens when a fixture stops.

What is correct score?

A market on the exact final scoreline, for example 2-1. It returns only when the full-time result matches your pick exactly, so a 2-1 call does not pay on 2-2.

What does HT/FT mean on a scoreline board?

A double result market. You call the scoreline state at half-time and again at full-time, and both parts of that call must land before the market settles in your favour.

What is an over/under goals line?

A total-goals line, often 2.5. You choose whether the final scoreline finishes above or below it, and the exact result does not matter once the goals are counted.

What is both teams to score?
